Good evening, friends...
I have someone I would like you to meet!
Meet my friend, Stephanie.
She is beautiful, talented, creative, and sold out for Christ. She is a wonderful daughter, loyal friend, caring sister, and loving wife. She has been married to her husband, Matt for almost two years now. She is a "mom" to a little puppy named Scout.
Most importantly, she is my personal friend. She made my transition to Colorado so much easier. She is crazy, funny, thoughtful, gorgeous inside and out, and she hates
coffee (I know! Who would have thought I would be friends with a coffee
hater?!). We are so different, yet so much alike.
Why am I sharing this with you? Well, you see, last week, Stephanie found out she has cancer. After a year of trying to figure out what the heck her body was doing, her doctor found that she in fact has stage one Cervical Cancer... At age 25.
I am sharing this with you because her desire is to share her story with as many who will listen. She wants to let you in on her journey through this life-changing fight. She wants to show the world that she is not giving up or giving in, but instead, she is choosing to let God use her and her story for good. She is choosing to glorify God in the storm.
She created a blog so that those who wish to may join the fight and journey with her (and trust me, you will laugh, cry, and curse out loud as you read along- I did today in the middle of the shampoo aisle at Walmart!). Check out her blog, Derailing My Diagnosis.
"God has given me this story to share. He wrote this book, I’m just
translating for you. One thing I know for sure, cancer didn’t hide from
me, so I sure as hell am not hiding from it."
I love you, my friend! It's time to kick cancer's butt!
